Specific Products

• Botulinum Toxin (Botox) – Dr Long uses both Botox and Dysport, these are prescription only medicines and cannot be advertised to general public.  Prices from £180 and treatment usually lasts 3 to 6 months. Botulinum toxin is licenced for medical use and Botox is licenced for the treatment of hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating). Hyperhydrosis treatment costs £500 and will normally last for approximately 6 months.

• Sculptra (previously known as Newfill) is a poly-L-lactic acid and is a unique facial enhancement that may help you look years younger – from giving the appearance of a complete ‘mini-facelift’ to eliminating troublesome lines, wrinkles, or furrows (folds or creases) without the risks of surgery.  Sculptra is a synthetic, injectable material that contains skin-smoothing microparticles to help lift and smooth sagging skin, severe wrinkles, creases, dark circles and scars. Price is £450 initial treatment then £350 thereafter; an average of 3 to 4 treatments is usually required with treatment lasting up to 2 years.

• Restylane/Perlane are fillers that contain hyaluronic acid.  Restylane is specially designed for different purposes and effects.  It can be used for wrinkle correction and lip enhancements, for correcting thin, superficial lines, for example around the eyes and mouth, forehead and smile lines, for shaping facial contours, such as cheeks and chin, correcting deep folds and for volume augmentation of the lips.  Price is £280 with treatment lasting normally 4-6 months. There is also a cheek implant available at a cost of £600.

• Hydrafill and Juvaderm are hyaluronic acid based implants, which restore fullness and softness to your face.  They are integrated into the dermis as one of its own constituents and replenish your own natural hyaluronic acid.  Consequently Hydrafill and Juvaderm follow the natural cycle of skin degradation and regeneration.  Hydrafill and Juvaderm can be used to treat most lines, wrinkles and lip areas. Prices start at  £240 with treatment lasting approximately 4-6 months.

• Collagen - Rarely used these days as it is bovine collagen and a skin test is required. Zyaderm Collagen was formulated especially for people with small or superficial contour problems such as smoothing delicate frown and smile lines, as well as the fine creases that develop at the corners of the eyes and above and below the lips.  It can also help correct certain kinds of shallow scars.  Zyplast Collagen was designed to treat depressions requiring a stronger material.  It is used for more pronounced contour problems (such as deeper scars, lines and furrows) and for areas such as the corners of the mouth. Top ups usually required within 3 months.

• Radiesse is a long lasting injectable filler using microspheres of calcium hydroxylaptite.  Radiesse is used for nasolabial folds, post rhinoplasty defects, marionette lines, vermillion border of the lip, radial lip lines, chin and cheek augmentation and tear troughs. Prices start from £350- £550 with treatment lasting up to 2 years.

• Obagi Products achieve results by working deep within the epidermis and dermis, regulating the cellular functions of keratinocytes, melanocytes and fibroblasts to rejuvenate the skin. Obagi protocols correct skin problems such as fine lines, wrinkles and dryness, uneven skin tone and colour; age spots, lack of elasticity, acne, enlarged pore size and sun damage. The face peels can vary in depth depending on the condition being treated.  The peel can take from 3 – 10 days to recover from depending on the depth of peel used and the condition being treated.  Price is £250 for the Obaji products, which can be used on their own without the face peel. Appropriate preparation for the Obaji Blue Face peel is essential and the Obaji products need to be used for this. The Obaji Blue face peel costs £450.

• LHE (light, heat, energy) treatment is used in three areas.

I. Hair removal – LHE gently removes hair down to the source by damaging the bulb (root) and significantly delaying regrowth. Prices start from £50.

II. Skin Photorejuvenation – LHE gently treats pigmented and vascular lesions, fine lines and other manifestations of aging skin.

III. Acne Clearance – LHE optimises the oxygen effect and quickly destroys the P.acnes.  LHE’s use of heat intensifies the process while it gently opens the pores to release the clog and sooth inflammation.

• Isolagen is a unique, living autologous cellular therapy.  It is a totally new technique in facial rejuvenation that offers long lasting improvements. It is the first and only natural process to use your own collagen producing cells to repair and rejuvenate the skin, producing long lasting therapeutic correction of dermal and superficial deficiencies and full rejuvenation of the face.  Isolagen actively replaces lost skin volume by introducing millions of new collagen producing cells under facial lines, wrinkles and scars.  Isolagen should not be thought of as a filler, but rather a protein repair system.  Price is £3500. Treatment will normally take place approximately 6 weeks after a same biopsy had been taken and your own cells grown from it.

• Contour thread face/neck lift – provides a similar effect to face-lift and can be done under local anaesthetic with minimal down time.  This is a new pioneering technique.  Price is £1200 per one area e.g. neck.

• Sclerotherapy is available for thread veins on legs in half hourly sessions. Cost £150 per session.

Consultations are available costing £30.00 (15 minutes) refundable against any treatment given.  Payment can be made via all major credit cards, cash or cheque.
